AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Cain and Jones of Bloomfield Ward have requested £500 as a contribution together with Waterloo Ward to replenish the Waterloo roundabout plants ready for the spring.

Councillors Taylor and Mrs Taylor of Claremont Ward have requested £935 to Claremont Park Bowling Club as a donation for the replacement of a faulty gas heater at the Bowling Club.

Councillors Mrs Greenhalgh and Hutton of Clifton Ward have requested £1,000 to Blackpool Boys and Girls Club as a donation towards the refurbishment of the Youth and Community Centre at Mereside.

Councillors Lee and O’Hara of Waterloo Ward have requested:
(i)£750 to the Totally Transport Steering Group to assist with the costs associated with holding the Totally Transport event to be held on Sunday 22nd June 2014.
(ii)£500 as a contribution together with Bloomfield Ward to replenish the Waterloo roundabout plants ready for the spring.
